Forever Alone Day

Diary entry #10 - 14 February 2012

Dear diary,

It's Valentine's Day today. Not much of a big deal to me, since I am not in a relationship. There are times when there's rumors of a friend and I being in a relationship, or when people ask me 'who do you like?'. Well I'll give you a direct answer right here. For me, I'm sticking to my policy of 'Friendship first'. I do not want to be a typical guy who goes searching for a girlfriend just to get rid of the 'single status'. It has to be someone I have known well enough to share my all with, to cherish and to hold for life. Frankly speaking, it has to be a meaningful relationship, not one that would be temporary. So for now, I do not want to conflict myself into a game of love, and just focus on my studies. Let me have a career and start making money before I even consider dating (:

So today, I went to school with a smile on my face early in the morning. I was excited to empty out the box of Ferrero Rosche I had brought along in my school bag. As a sign of friendship, I passed them out and received lovely smiles from my friends. Sadly, I had not brought enough for everyone. It was a happy day, in the beginning. No worries or regrets on my mind, I wasn't expecting any bad news. Unfortunately, during BM lesson Daniel knocked on the door and requested to talk to Janice, Thina and I outside of the classroom. Somehow I had the feeling of what's going on. The fact that I read on Facebook the night before, regarding Daniel's dad's critical condition, I was hoping it wasn't it. Danny was in his casual wear, instead of his uniform. He told us that his dad passed away. I felt really sad for him. After he filled us in with the details, he left the school. We continued our BM lesson, and I know Janice was praying hard for our dear friend, and I was, too.

Oh, a side story. It was my group's turn for oral test today. Our oral presentation was based on the poem 'He Had Such Quiet Eyes'. We decided to twist the ending a little, and add this into the play. Since its Valentine's, we figured it would be funny to put a meme in. Forever Alone, I drew this along with Adeline's help. And then after school, I went out with my friends to have dessert in Kuchai Lama. We went to 'Pick Me Up' cafe and ohmygawd. I highly recommend anyone not to go there because it's a terrible ripoff. Snowflake is wayyyy better (:

Dessert @ 'Pick Me Up' ; not worth it :/

At night, our cg had organized a visit to the wake service. We went there to pay our last respects and to make sure our dear friends, Daniel and Sam were okay. After the speaker was done with his message, Danny's cousin went out to speak. I was really touched when she was talking about how caring of a man Danny's father was and I was moved to tears. It was painful to see both of my dear friends cry. All night, I was just worried about how they're taking it in and praying to God to help them through with their loss.

Til then,
Leo.
